Basic Information on Shinjuku Chuo Park

The park has been used for filming TV and movies since its opening, and “Shinjuku Niagara Falls” and “Water Plaza” have become popular spots for dramas and animations.

It is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station on the JR and Odakyu lines, a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Shinjuku Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, a 5-minute walk from Tocho-mae Station on the Toei Oedo Line, and a short walk from the Toei Oedo Subway Line.

It is also conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from the Washington Hotel Shinjuku, a popular destination for tourists.

Shuknova was created with the desire to revitalize the “Shinjuku Shukubamachi no Enkawa Space” where many people can relax and interact in Shinjuku, an inn town that flourished as Naito Shinjuku during the Edo period.

2F – PARKERS TOKYO / MIHARASHI TERRACE weekdays (7:00 – 21:00), weekends and holidays (8:00 – 18:00)

Each terrace is open to everyone, but there is a possibility that terrace use may be restricted in case of inclement weather, etc.

ENGAWA TERRACE on the 1st floor is available for use with pets, as lead hooks are provided.

MIHARASHI TERRACE on the 2nd floor features carefully selected outdoor furniture and “FOREMAR,” next-generation speakers integrally molded with a 3D printer.

The park has a “little square” that is popular among children. The playground is open only to children of junior high school age and younger and their parents or guardians.

It is equipped with a variety of slides, swings, a large sandbox, and spring playground equipment that stimulates children’s imagination.

This lawn square was redeveloped and beautified in 2019.

A portion of the lawn square has been developed as an “attractive lawn,” combining summer and winter grasses for year-round green beauty and enjoyment, while the other lawns are planted with wild grasses to create a grass space that can be used on a daily basis.

The flea market in Shinjuku Chuo Park is becoming more and more popular with foreign tourists staying at nearby hotels.

The items actually purchased by foreign tourists are not all particularly Japanese items, but many second-hand clothes and other unused items.
